How can i set up an investigation of a D type latch using a breadboard?
Q. I am currently engaged in an electonics project at school and have no experience of using breadboards. I have the basic understanding of how the D Type flip flop works, however i do not know how to show this on a breadboard. Any help/guidance would be much appreciated.

A. Set it up as a divide by 2. If you apply a pulse train to the K input, connect the Q bar to the D input, then the Q output will have a frequency of 1/2 the input. You can use the second latch in the package as a second divide by two. You can generate the pulse train with a 555 timer chip configured as a astable multivibrator. If you keep the input clock slow enough, say 1 Hz, you can put LEDs on the clock, the divide by 2 output and the divide by 4 output. email me if you need more help. .
