A compilation of these reviews forms the core content of a 'tertiary' scientific journal, with examples including Annual Reviews, the Nature Reviews series of journals and Trends. A peer review is the process by which scientists assess the work of their colleagues that has been submitted for publication in the scientific literature. A software review is also a form of peer review, by the co-workers. A consumer review refers to a review written by the owner of a product or the user of a service who has sufficient experience to comment on reliability and whether or not the product or service delivers on its promises. An expert review usually refers to a review written by someone who has tested several peer products or services to identify which offers the best value for money or the best set of features. GNU Free Documentation License Why do people still do reviews for old video games? Q. I have been watching 2 programs on youtube the irate gamer and the angry video game nerd. Both are entertaining because when they do the reviews they completely go psycho. But why do they review games from the 1980's and 1990's I mean sure it's funny watching them go insane while reviewing games, but the games they review are so old it's not like they are saying anything that hasn't been said 1000 times before. If its a video game or a movie then i wont care about the rating because thats opinion. But stuff like tv's and other electronics matter on the reviews part. Amazon is a great place for this. Try Newegg as well. In most cases, if an item has more than 30 reviews, the general consensus is fairly accurate. If a product seems good, scan the one and two-star reviews. In general, lower-star reviews for good products occur because the user either had a bad experience with shipping, or doesn't understand how to use the product he/she bought. The better a product is, unless it's brand new, the more reviews it will have... especially on Amazon. I agree with you on video games and movies- I don't pay attention to those reviews until there are 100 or more. Q. I've written a couple reviews but I can't seem to find a part of the site where I can go back and see them. The closest thing I've found is my past ratings. Very weird.
